useHostConnectionStatus
Live status of the host channel itself, for reconnecting and offline UI
useHostConnectionStatus reports the state of the transport between your app
and the host: "connecting" while the client waits for the host channel,
"connected" once it is established, and "disconnected" standalone or
after the channel closes. It is the host-channel counterpart of the signer's
connection status you get from useAccounts:
that one tracks whether a wallet is connected, this one tracks whether the
host is reachable at all.
Use it to render a reconnecting banner or to hold off host calls until the
channel is up. Standalone the value is always "disconnected", and the hook
never builds a host client on its own outside a container.
Usage
import { useHostConnectionStatus, useIsHost } from "@use-truapi/react";
function HostBanner() {
const isHost = useIsHost();
const status = useHostConnectionStatus();
if (!isHost) return null;
if (status === "connected") return null;
return <div role="status">{status === "connecting" ? "Connecting to host…" : "Host disconnected"}</div>;
}<script setup lang="ts">
import { useHostConnectionStatus, useIsHost } from "@use-truapi/vue";
const isHost = useIsHost();
const status = useHostConnectionStatus();
</script>
<template>
<div v-if="isHost && status !== 'connected'" role="status">
